Review for Yahoo Personals
Hey,
I conducted reviews of a number of matchmaking sites over the past year as I was searching for a good dating site. The review for Yahoo Personals included a number of positive points, including its user-friendly layout and easy-to-navigate homepage. In the end, what convinced me to try Yahoo Personals was its wide range of matchmaking possibilities
Yahoo has a wide name-recognition and I assume that that's what drives so many people to their site. I understand that, for some people, that might bring complaints but for me, it's the opposite -- I have no complaint about being able to pick and choose to my heart's delight as I look for new dating opportunities.
In short, I'm not very picky, but my location (Duluth Minnesota) would not make it terribly easy to find someone in my area. I'm a teacher with a good job so relocating isn't really an option for me now and I couldn't imagine too many people willing to come live in Duluth. That's why I wanted to find a dating site that offered the widest range of possibilities as possible.
Well, as they say, it only takes one. I met a guy who grew up in Michigan, moved to Miami for university and, of all things, missed snow sports. I don't know if I ever would have come across such an anomaly on a smaller site, but Yahoo Personals had such a large number of people listed that, if he was going to be anywhere, he'd be on Yahoo.
So here we are, sitting by the fire after an afternoon of skiing, enjoying our hot chocolate while I write this review. My suggestion to other people in my situation is to do what I did....find a site with the largest number of profiles possible and then sign up and start searching.
