Review for Connecting SinglesHi,
I recently moved to Las Vegas and started to review all the possibilities that I could think of in order to start meeting new people. I'm shy by nature and the thought of dating in a city like Las Vegas was daunting, but I know myself well enough to know that if I let it slide, I'd spend the next 20 years hanging out in my apartment on Saturday nights doing my laundry.
I tried a few speed dating options, church socials and other singles events but I was uncomfortable. I did end up going out with a couple of guys but, because our initial meetings were so superficial, I felt as though I didn't really know them when we finally did go out and that made me even more nervous.
I wasn't very excited about Internet dating but the reviews were good for Connecting Singles, there weren't many complaints listed online and it seemed to have the most local options for dating of any site that I had seen. So I signed up.
Turns out that it was the best matchmaking decision that I could have made. It was so easy to get to know guys before I went out on a date, just by online chatting. I felt much more confident once I finally did decide to meet someone for a date because I felt as though I really knew him through "meeting" online for a couple of weeks before we made plans to go out. I met a great guy after several false starts we've been dating for over six months. He actually told me that he had the same reaction as I had to going out with women after he'd met them only once at a social gathering. So I guess that I'm not as weird as I thought.
My only complaint is that I didn't know about Connecting Singles before I moved to Vegas.
